2012 Billboard Music Awards (PICS)

With another high profile ceremony having come and gone, the winners from the 2012 Billboard Music Awards were announced on Sunday night (May 20).

The Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell hosted event was held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, with Adele emerging as the big winner upon taking home a slew of trophies including Top Artist, Top Female Artist and Top Pop Artist.

Other entertainers enjoying a successful evening included Justin Bieber as Top Social Artist and Lil Wayne, who nabbed Top Male Artist and Top Rap Artist accolades.

Performers taking the stage during the Billboard Music Awards included Carrie Underwood, LMFAO, CeeLo Green, Kelly Clarkson, Usher, The Wanted, Linkin Park, Nelly Furtado and Chris Brown while the late Whitney Houston was feted with the Billboard Millenium Award for her career achievements with her sister, Patty, and daughter, Bobbi Kristina, accepting on her behalf.

The show also offered remembrances for Beastie Boys great Adam Yauch and the recently departed Donna Summer.
