Recently one of her producers tweeted some exciting news for us he says:
Aaliyah was a busy young lady before her sudden passing. She was shooting a movie, writing new material and constantly in the studio. She did leave behind a cache of unreleased material that we may now get to hear. The producer with this great news “J-Dub” produced the songs ”I Refuse” and “What if I?” on her last album “Aaliyah”. No word just yet on the release date but we will keep you posted.
Since Aaliyah’s sudden death 10 years ago, the music industry and most definitely her fans, are still feeling her loss. A lot of us still play Aaliyah’s music, watch her videos, and post her pictures on a daily basis. She will always be in our hearts and minds for many years to come. Her story will always have people drawn in, often speculating what would have been if she didn’t pass so suddenly. I think this will be a good thing for her fans that continue to keep her memory and legacy alive. Looking forward to hearing the music!
