Its been 15 years since the passing of Christopher Wallace aka Biggie Smalls. Can you believe that? He was one of the most if not THE best rappers in the game. He is one of my favorite rappers of ALL times.
He had a charisma about him that has been unmatched. He reached his level of success in 1994 with his debut album Ready to Die. He had joined forces with mega producer and entrepreneur P. Diddy Combs and then the two created magic. Wallah!
The following year Biggie introduced us to Junior M.A.F.I.A which introduced the world to his Lil mama LIL KIM. He was definitely a ladies man having married singer Faith Evans. Shortly after he became in the infamous east coast/west coast feud that eventually led to his death in 1997.
His album Life After Death released just 15 days later became #1 on the charts and became certified Diamond. Biggie will always be remembered in our hearts and every time we hit the club scene every DJ always spins his music. MTV named Christopher Wallace #3 rapper of all time. No matter who comes and goes Biggie will always remain with us as one of the BEST to EVER do it. Hands going up right now as I reminisce to “I Love It When You Call Me Big Poppa.” His songs will never get old. #PureClassic
Here are some videos of my favorite Biggie Jams.
