Hey my ’80′s babies! Remember the movie The Shining starring Jack Nicholson? One of my favorite horror movies of all times. The LA Times reports Warner Brothers is planning a prequel movie to the 1980 classic “The Shining.”
I have an exclusive transcript detailing how it will be played out. I’m so excited. See the Transcript below.

We could be checking back into the Overlook Hotel. The Los Angeles Times reports Warner Brothers is considering making a prequel to Stephen King’s “The Shining.” News 12 New Jersey gives us a look back at the 1980 Stanley Kubrick adaptation:
“Here’s Johnny! Who can forget those classic words.”
News 12 also reports the prequel is expected to focus on the hotel’s history. But because the original film never offered an explanation behind the hotel’s creepiness, Hollywood.com has some other predictions.
“Would a prequel take a look at the origins of the shining power, maybe from the point of view of a younger Hallorann and his gifted grandmother? Or maybe we’re in for another route: a wacky romp through the Undead Bartender Academy with Lloyd…”
No word on the title because it’s only in planning stages, but execs reportedly tapped writer-producer Laeta Kalogridis to write the script. The LA Times reports she…
“…has a pedigree that’s ready-made for this kind of material, having penned the macabre ‘Shutter Island’ for Martin Scorsese two years ago…”
And, according to the Times, she played a creative role in James Cameron’s “Avatar.” Some of you might still be skeptical of the final product without King or Kubrick behind it, but WHBQ reports the acclaimed horror author isn’t leaving us hanging.
“King is also working on a sequel to The Shining. We’ll have a trilogy of ‘The Shining’ y’all, but the movie prequel is not connected with that novel.”
King confirmed last year the sequel, “Dr. Sleep,” will focus on how the little boy in the original story uses his psychic powers as an adult.
Not a done deal yet but definitely in the works.
