In case you haven’t heard ESPN commentator Hank Williams Jr was fired. He was too late with the an apology and for comparing President Obama to Hitler, Hank Williams Jr. is now without a job.
Hank Williams Jr. will now longer be the voice you hear before Monday Night Football games. “Are You Ready For Some Football?” Well I am, but Hank Williams Jr. won’t be anymore.
“We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr.,” ESPN said in a statement. “We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.”
Hank Williams Jr., however is trying to say it is his decision and he quit; “After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision. By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You [ESPN] stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment, Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and all my rowdy friends ARE OUT OF HERE! It’s been a great run.”
Yea, sure you quit Hank. You would have said this Monday night when you said you were misunderstood and then when you “apologized” Tuesday.
Honestly, i’m just about tired of all the disrespect of the President. If you don’t agree, then you just don’t agree. But to open your mouth comparing a U.S. President to one of the worst humans that ever lived, on public tv, and not in your living room, is just stupid. My mom always said if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it at all. Think we all should listen to that.
What do you think of ESPN’s decision to can Hank Williams Jr.? – drfunkenberry

Blatant racism, I don’t care what anyone else tries to call it. The reason this country is in such bad shape is because people like him can’t see past the President’s color to actually look at the positive changes he has TRIED to make in this country. And our President keeps trying to make friends with them instead of just doing what he came to the White House to do. It actually sickens me and I am so glad ESPN let him go. It’s funny how these so called die hard Patriots who dared anyone to speak against the President prior to 2008 now have so much to say.
