Everything is bigger in Texas including the whispers of Bravos airing a Real Housewives of Dallas. According to Desiree Ramirez there will be a RHOD. Are you ready for that?
Deziree Ramirez was asked to be on The Real Housewives of Dallas but due to some disagreements she chose not to and instead confirms to AllAboutTRH exclusively that there will still be a Real Housewives of Dallas and contracts have just been signed with some of the ladies!
Q: Rumors have spread that you are going to be on The Real Housewives of Dallas. Any truth to that? A: I am not going to be on the Real Housewives of Dallas. I am going to be apart of a reality show but it isn’t the Real Housewives of Dallas.
Q: So what show will you be on? A: I’m doing my own show on a totally different network by a pretty big other TV network thats under NBC as well. It’s going to be pretty big. It’s my own TV show based on my life and being a mother. The show is called ‘From Spurs to Heels.’
Q: Were you asked to be on The Real Housewives of Dallas? A: I did actually audition for The Real Housewives of Dallas. They did like me but they weren’t for sure if they wanted to use me. This was last year. I ended up getting an email 4 or 5 months later and they were interested in me and wanted to recast. Producers came back to Dallas and I auditioned once again and I was for sure going to be apart of it. Everything was a go. We were going to do it and we started to disagree.
Q: What happened? A: Well they were first going to pay each of the housewives $11,000 an episode but me and my fiance Cory Harris we’re great and than we had a little break up. We ended up cancelling our wedding so the producers of the show weren’t so happy with it. Therefore they wanted to cut my pay to $11,000 to $9,000 per episode. So my lawyer wasn’t happy with that and we didn’t end up agreeing on anything after that. There still trying to get me on as of yesterday. I got a call from one of the producers and they were still interested but I told them I signed a new deal with a new network so I won’t be able to do it anymore. It wasn’t worth it just because the $9,000 is play money for me!
Q: But if the show blows up. Bravo will increase your pay so why didn’t you just stick it out? A: Well what’s funny about that is Bravo wanted me to sign a 2 year contract! So for 2 seasons I’d get paid $9,000 even if The Real Housewives of Dallas blew up after the first season. I wish they were more understanding and would only let me sign a one year contract for that price.
Q: Do you know any of the other ladies who will be on The Real Housewives of Dallas? A: Yes. I do but I can’t tell you who the cast is but I know them because Bravo wanted us to all communicate with each other. I do think that they will make the show really good. I see it being a mix of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Atlanta. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills being rich and glamorous but having the Atlanta housewives attitude!
Q: Have they started filming? A: No they haven’t yet. There going to start filming very soon. There just waiting on all the housewives to sign their contracts but I know a few of the ladies who already have. The Real Housewives of Dallas is happening and is a for sure thing. There might be a chance I may be featured on the show only because I’m really close friends with one of the housewives but as of now, I’m not appearing on the show.
Q: What can we expect on The Real Housewives of Dallas? A: I think viewers will really like RHOD especially if the ladies act real and not act fake or how Hollywood wants them to act. I know the ladies and their all great and all bring something to the table!
What I can tell you is true is that somebody‘s pants are on fire and time will tell who it is. Is it Andy Cohen and the PR peeps at BRAVO? Is it the disgruntled ex-assistant to Ramirez? Is it Ramirez, who might be using this opportunity to pimp out her new project? Is it Miss Scarlett with a candlestick or Col. Mustard with a rope? I can’t wait to find out!
