Who’s laughin’ now, ‘Ye?
Kris Humphries couldn’t resist a much-belated jab at Kanye West over his insulting “Way Too Cold” lyrics Tuesday shortly after he finalized a $24 million, two-year deal with the New York Nets.
“I’m up at Brooklyn,” he tweeted at Jay-Z early Tuesday. “Lucky I didn’t have Jay drop me from the team lol!”
In West’s single, which dropped in April, the rapper dissed Humphries in a verse, saying, “And I fell in love with Kim/ Around the same time she fell in love with him/ Well that’s cool baby girl, do your thing/ Lucky I sain’t had Jay drop him from the team.”
Though West never mentions Humphries, 27, by name, it’s evident that the singer was referring to the NBA player, who was going through an ugly divorce from West’s current girlfriend Kim Kardashian at the time.
Humphries and Kardashian, 31, were married for a famous 72 days before they split in October.
Kardashian and West, on the other hand, have been dating for longer than that, and don’t show any signs of letting up on their constant PDA.
West recently made his debut on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” and the pair recently spent time together in Miami, where West was shooting a music video for “I Wish You Would” with DJ Khaled an Rick Ross.
