Melanie Amaro Wins The First US Season of The X Factor!

The first season of X FActor USA crowned their winner last night! 19-year old Melanie Amaro outsung her fellow contestants Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik for the $5 million dollar prize.

“America, thank you for giving this girl an opportunity,” said Simon Cowell.“She is a star.” A very emotional Melanie stated after her win, “Thank you so much! I don’t know what to say. Thank you. God is good.” I couldn’t agree more.

I was pretty sure Melanie would win. She was one the most steadiest finalist and she gave one of the best auditions. The finale began with the top 12 contestants, including Rachel Crow and Astro, singing Lady Gaga‘s “The Edge of Glory.” This was followed by performances by Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder, and Leona Lewis.
