When one door closes, another one really does open! Nivea may have dropped Rihanna like a bad habit for her wild child ways, but someone else is scooping her up to promote their country!
That’s right, the COUNTRY of Barbados has just signed their native darling to a 3 year contract to promote tourism to the island, as the official “face of Barbados.” According to The Jamaican Observer:
Barbadian pop singer Rihanna has signed a three-year contract with the Barbados Tourist Authority (BTA) to promote the island.
According to BTA chairman Adrian Elcock, production on the promotional campaign is expected to begin soon and will be launched in September, in time for the winter tourist season.
Take that Nivea! Rihanna is currently in Barbados, so the timing seems perfect. The pop star recently met with Oprah Winfrey in her hometown. Check that out below!
