Where are my Hip Hop heads at? Rock the Bells Festival 2012 kicks off this weekend in San Bernardino, CA. There will be something for everyone from all walks of life. The lineup will include hip hop artists from Ice Cube to Bone Thugs & Harmony, to Nas, 2 Chainz to Yelawolf and everyone in between.
You might rock out to the artists that you grew up with to the artists your kids are listening to now that you’re trying to be down with. lol. Rock the Bells does a fantastic job of mixing hip hop eras for all to enjoy. They will have 3 stages for all your favorite performers to entertain.
I’ll give you a little taste of what’s to come from the old school just to remind you in case you’ve forgotten or just don’t know.
KRS-One has one of my favorite songs to date.
Big Daddy Kane was the smoothest operator.
Salt n Pepa was the first rap female group to do it and break into mainstream.
Naughty by Nature had everyone screaming that they were down with Other People’s Property..
Slick Rick was the first London bloke that came through and made history.
DJ Quik one of the dopest Cali rappers and producers to ever do it.
Ice Cube is a mixture between old and new school. We know him from NWA back in the day but then you know him now for his acting and directing on the big screens.
