Day One of American Idol has began and already Nicki Minaj has raised the bar with her fashion sense. Arriving at the Jazz At Lincoln Center in New York City for her first day of work, the ‘Starships’ rapper dazzled in a white blazer, floral crop top, skinny jeans, turquoise platforms and a head of yellow and pink curls.
Mariah Carey kept things very simple in a black mac, dress, peep-hole shoes and shades. I love Mariah but if she wants the limelight then she better step up her game because Ms. Nicki demands attention wherever she goes. The two divas have already been pitted against one another, with sources revealing Mariah was furious when she learned she would be sharing the limelight with Nicki Minaj.
Randy Jackson and Keith Urban was there also. This is going to be very interesting especially since American Idol is known for the women being very fashionable. We will see if there’s enough room to share the spotlight.
