Funny guy, actor, and dad Will Smith will be hosting the 25th annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Nickelodeon announced Wednesday that 10-time winner Smith will host the March 31 ceremony from the Galen Center in Los Angeles. The show will air live on Nickelodeon.
Smith calls the awards “the year’s liveliest, slimiest and most outrageous party for kids and teens.”The actor recently finished filming “Men in Black III.”
The Kids’ Choice Awards honor kids’ favorites in film, music, sports and television by tallying the votes of kids online and via mobile devices. During the show, green slime is routinely dumped on celebrities and winners receive trophies shaped like blimps.
“How better to celebrate 25 years of Kids’ Choice Awards than with the biggest movie star in the world?” said Nickelodeon exec Marjorie Cohn in a press release. “Will has enough KCA blimps at home to fill a room, having long been one of kids’ favorites. He’s a larger than life presence who knows how to play big and we’re excited he’ll be taking the stage for the biggest, loudest, messiest spectacle in the show’s 25-year history.”
The announcement came during his visit at this years CES convention. It’s being whispered that he was also spotted without his wedding ring. I really hope those two are working on things. Diva Whispers will keep you posted.
The kid-centric slime-fest will air live on Nickelodeon on Sunday, March 31.
