Willow Smith: Getting Ready to Take on “Annie”

Jada Pinkett Smith told the “Today” show that she and Will are working on a remake of “Annie” that will star their daughter Willow Smith in the title role.

“We’re partnering with Jay-Z and Roc Nation as far as Annie is concerned. Willow’s going to star. We had success with Jaden with Karate Kid. That was a film that Will and I both loved. We were like, ‘We have got to bring justice to this movie.’ Annie’s a classic. We are taking our time to make sure the script is right and you know Jay-Z’s gonna kill the music.”

If they get the formula right this will be HUGE for the teenager. Karate Kid was remade just as great as the original and I hope they can do the same with Annie. I can’t wait. Can you?
